I was updating my family room, and looked like a very good deal. I already have some big JBL speakers and DCM, but I had to take an active subwoofer and a center speaker, so this was a good deal, because I could get both speakers and the receiving station ‘iPod.
The subwoofer forces only a minimum volume, as is the light. If it’s blue, it happened and if it is red, there’s more. The volume is adjustable in the back.
Buyers should note that the rear keyhole mounting brackets are not standard speakers speakers. I found some of the decisions of the media at Amazon, but some key points, adapter to be sure when to order and plan to mount the speakers on your ceiling. Frankly, I do not fit the larger speakers in the ceiling, but I plan to at least one pair of surround speakers each use and at 2.2 pounds, the weight is light enough for each speaker with a hole adapter block.

The center speaker is more than sufficient for my needs. It ’s amazing how a center speaker can cost alone. The iPod dock does not work well when a case on your iPod. I wish they were a little more space, so that the case stay on my iPod connected, if allowed.
Surprisingly, Onkyo HT-S5300 series also speaker wire, which is extremely rare, so as to separate the purchase of home theater equipment. The speaker wires are not of high quality, but for ease of use were coded in color might work well for people who have installed a home theater for the first time.
As other reviewer said, the Audyssey mic was not included. Overall I’m satisfied with the package and bought specifically for these four components: the receiver, center speaker, subwoofer and iPod dock. The sound quality is good if not better than the Sony receiver I am replacing, and the recipient must take more HDMI inputs (4) with the video technology of today.Read more reviews
