I was updating my family room, and looked like a very good deal. I already have some big JBL speakers and DCM, but I had to take an active subwoofer and a center speaker, so this was a good deal, because I could get both speakers and the receiving station ‘iPod.

The subwoofer forces only a minimum volume, as is the light. If it’s blue, it happened and if it is red, there’s more. The volume is adjustable in the back.

Buyers should note that the rear keyhole mounting brackets are not standard speakers speakers. I found some of the decisions of the media at Amazon, but some key points, adapter to be sure when to order and plan to mount the speakers on your ceiling. Frankly, I do not fit the larger speakers in the ceiling, but I plan to at least one pair of surround speakers each use and at 2.2 pounds, the weight is light enough for each speaker with a hole adapter block.

It would be President:
£ 2.2 Surround Speakers
Keynote 6 pounds

The center speaker is more than sufficient for my needs. It ’s amazing how a center speaker can cost alone. The iPod dock does not work well when a case on your iPod. I wish they were a little more space, so that the case stay on my iPod connected, if allowed.

Surprisingly, Onkyo HT-S5300 series also speaker wire, which is extremely rare, so as to separate the purchase of home theater equipment. The speaker wires are not of high quality, but for ease of use were coded in color might work well for people who have installed a home theater for the first time.

As other reviewer said, the Audyssey mic was not included. Overall I’m satisfied with the package and bought specifically for these four components: the receiver, center speaker, subwoofer and iPod dock. The sound quality is good if not better than the Sony receiver I am replacing, and the recipient must take more HDMI inputs (4) with the video technology of today.Read more reviews

First, I must say that the speakers Nice looking black and shiny, but elegant square receiver. Their music is much better than expected, particularly entry-level system. Now, instead of all the features I will try a lot of people who think and answer a list of the major advantages and disadvantages.

Onkyo HT-S3300 ReviewCheck for lowest prices!!!

Pros:
- There is an HDMI repeater and switches, only the HDMI cables, wires, without sound.
- Supports all formats again and makes a superb HD audio decoding.
- At first I was not sure of the correction system Audyssey Sound, which is equipped with a microphone for automatic calibration. However, it appears that the Audyssey system to the factory configuration calibrated speakers came and made a good job of soundproofing. Only adjustment I had to do, the distance between the speakers and the listening position from which the settings had to be defined manually. And also some minor changes in the level of the speakers, but it is a matter of taste.
- The screen is great to see the menu, and adjust the volume on the TV.
- All options are on the menu options available, without unnecessary detail.
- Highly customizable and easy to use and settings.
- There is no sound when not in use, or the sonic boom on / off
- The speakers for this price I am always impressed with a passive subwoofer that its strength is sufficient, in combination with other speakers delivered excellent clean and modest.
- In addition, the sound is comparable to the systems costs have heard that approximately 800 $ 400 – $ So, consider this system a lot. I do not think that something in this price class, a good sound, or the like can be produced.
- Runs cooler than previous Onkyo found.

CONS:
- The 5.1 system, but it was a seller for me, because I do not think too many people around the speaker and I personally think that is enough to create 5.1 surround-sound effects in a satisfactory manner. Most of the media is still 5.1 ..
- Not a large room, not to mention the 660W and a subwoofer is a passive system 130W output power. My room is about 15X15ft and the production is adequate, but the rooms are bigger, I would recommend a different system (perhaps in HT-s5300).
- Only 3 HDMI, so that all entries are exhausted me. If I buy another device that I Inout hook part.
- No video inputs on the front of receiver, stereo audio input for portable media player.
- manually without automatic room correction. If the speaker that you can not use Audyssey, as defined in the factory specifications of the speakers. Audyssey should be excluded if you are using a variety of speakers.
- Subwoofer is a passive, but I found its size and strength is enough that the environment for small and medium enterprises. But if you really are crazy and do not live in an apartment (if you have bad neighbors), and then looking at the HT-s5300.

If you are in the same boat and try to HT and HT-S3300, s5300 choose, I can confidently recommend the HT-S3300 $ 200 less, that life is fun for small and medium. HT-s5300 but clearly a better speaker system for better and more advanced receiver with multiple inputs, and I see no reason not to use more if you can and should take into account many other places and 7 speakers (center and front speakers are too big and boring for my taste, and not no way to hide the subwoofer does not completely hide the subwoofer system). Right out of the box, Onkyo HT-S3300 thing sounds great. Before I bought I was concerned about the person. Fists in the bass part. Onkyo HT-S3300 system creates an immersive environment takes you into the movie. Listening to music is equally comfortable, the sound is clean and the bass is right on. It does not sound at all boring or lethargic. Overall, Onkyo HT-S3300 system is ideal for small-medium sized rooms. For the price can not be easy!
